The menu is brilliant and it was really difficult to make a decision. In the end I decided to go for my lucky number 23. It was delicious! You also want to try something with their home made sweet chilli sauce. We ate there three times in four days and didn't get bored. It's official, Chantek is my favourite restaurant. Not only is the food delicious, the interior is very well thought out and service was very good. I'll be back!

Delicious! We ate here on a Saturday evening and had a beautiful meal; the produce was very fresh and all of the dishes really delicious. The service was extremely friendly and the manager/head waiter could not have been more helpful. We would definitely recommend this place.

The best asian food around. Such nice food, been about 7 times and never been dissapointed. Just dont sit nearest kitchen as you can feel the heat when the woks flame up!

We visited Chantek in Truro on Easter Friday and the food lived up to the amazing reviews I've seen. The atmosphere was great, it was nicely busy but not too noisy and the service was fantastic. We both had Thai curry, the Red was a little hot but the Yellow was just right, nice hint of chilli but without burning your mouth. Will definately be returning!

The food at this restaurant is well presented, tasty and original. On this occasion we started with a set starter for 2 which we shared between the 4 of us. It was tasty but contained a lot of battered vegetables. The main courses we chose were delicious. A testimony is that we ate every scrap of food presented.

Wonderful food and good service. Had a lunchtime special deal with starter, main and a glass of wine/beer all for £12.50, can't get much better than that!.

Late dinner booking at Chantek in Truro but was confirmed immediately.Lovely Thai/Asian selection. Staff were extremely friendly and prompt. The portioning is generous and the flavours intensed. The restaurant was packed on a Tue Night when most of the other restaurants in the area were empty. At 2130h, people were still arriving. Would definitely recommend. Only problem was the loo is located on the 2nd level..

It was worth coming 242 miles to eat here! We will come again!

An extra person joined us for dinner it was no problem to the helpful staff. In the end as we were pushed for time, 4 of us ate off the pre theatre menu, a shame really as there were many dishes we wanted to try on the ala carte. All food arrived promtly, hot and tasty. And at £11.95 for two courses a bargain. We shall return to try the full menu.

Chantek, Truro - who says there's a credit crunch on? This wonderful Asian fusion restaurant was bursting at the seams on a rainy Friday night in Cornwall! And quite right too - the place is bright clean and vibrant - the staff could not be more helpful yet remain unobtrusive - the cooking was great and the ambience matched it.Whilst not cheap it was reasonably priced as they definitely give value for money I would not hesitate to recommend this establishment.

Our meal at Chantek was delicious. We have eaten thai many times and always enjoyed it but this was special. The restaurant is off the main drag, down a side street but well worth searching out. Would love to go back next time we are holidaying in Cornwall. We had the set meal and a glass of champagne which was a real bargain.

A very good ethos and really nice to see it almost full on a cool February Thursday night.

Wonderful food! The meat in the beef rendang just melted in your mouth and the satay dip was one of the best I've had. We went there whilst on holiday but if we lived in Truro we would be regular customers.

I recently visted Chantek with my wife and eighteen-month old son and had a fantastic meal. They found us a quiet corner and made us all feel very much at home. There was a perfect menu for our little one (he LOVED the food and the staff LOVED him!!) and we were spoilt for choice, too. We were both amazed by the spicy Thai papaya salad with lime juice, dried shrimps, chilli and green papaya. I also really enjoyed the tom yum soup with prawns. It's the kind of dish that could ward off the nastiest of flu bugs, with its hit of ginger and chillies - clean, hot and fresh flavours. Mains included a sublime Thai curry and a Chilli Beef from the specials board made with prime Cornish Beef. I'd recommend Chantek to anyone heading down to Cornwall (in fact, we've already spread the word as far round our hotel as we could manage!). The food is great, the atmosphere relaxed and friendly and the space is lovely.

My meal at Chantek was brilliant! The service, food and atmosphere was amazing. I ordered Teriyaki beef and I have to say it was one of THE best meals I have ever had. Totally recommend it to anyone!

Have eaten here three times. Lunches the noodle bowls are great value but watch out for the chillies - they leave you numb. The dinner theatre is super and always a great buzz. Picked up a take away recently as the wife was ill. Tasted just like the dinner we had there, presented very nice and piping hot. One of the best evenings in Truro I think.

I went to Chantek last year and was completey blown away. It is fantastic. Having spent a year working around Devon and Cornwall we were desperate for some proper food at reasonable prices. We arrived, it was full. The charming staff sent us to a local pub while we waited for a table and then came to find us. And when we did eat it was more than worth the wait. The atmosphere is brilliant, the decor is cool and modern but has a lovely eastern feel without being kitsch. It's also warm and welcoming. The open kitchen gives a real touch of drama. As for the food - simply heavenly. We had about 6 dishes and each one was better than the other. Beautifully presented, wonderfully fresh, delicate and bursting with flavour. It simply doesn't get better than this. We ate until we could eat no more. My only regret is that my work has now moved away from the Truro area so I can't go back. But if I was within a hundred miles I would go there again to relive the experience.
